Note: The arena and recreation centre (including swimming pool and bowling alley) are owned by private interests and do not belong to either the Community Association or Red Deer County. Their costs of maintaining the facilities are quite high so they have to charge enough to cover those costs. The Community Association did build the playgrounds and all-purpose pad (winter outdoor rink). Long term plans include building a community centre when sufficient funds (from bingos, casinos, grants and other sources) are accumulated. Chinook's Edge School Division does plan to build an elementary school in Springbrook when provincial funding is approved. There is also a possibility of a regional high school. Red Deer County plans to develop the area south of Airport Road for recreational purposes that may include sports fields, walking trails, a park and possibly a campground and/or recreation facility.
