World
War II Aircraft to be Mounted
There are plans this summer to mount two aircraft used during World War
II at the Red Deer Regional Airport. A Harvard, believed to have been
one of the last aircraft to fly out when the NATO military base closed
in 1965, will be mounted in front of the terminal. Harvards were used
for training pilots at RCAF Penhold for many years. In addition, an A-26
attack bomber will also be on display.

Stantec Consulting on behalf of Securfund Penhold Corp. recently applied
to the County for a residential subdivision plan for the east side of
Springbrook. Phase I near Airport Road will be the first area to be
developed. Any comments by residents must be received by the County
before August 20.
